This Jalapeno Cornbread Will Add A Spicy Kick To Just About Any Meal, It Is So Irresistible!

This recipe makes enough for about eight servings, so everyone should be able to enjoy some. It takes only a few minutes to prepare and about twenty to twenty-five minutes to bake. You won't want to wait to try a bite!

The Ingredients To Gather:

1 cup cornmeal
1 cup oat flour*
¼ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
¾ teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup plain yogurt
1 jalapeno, de-seeded and minced

 

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

Preheat oven to 400F
Combine  cornmeal, oat flour, brown sugar, baking soda,  salt. Mix well, set aside.
Beat your eggs with a whisk until they’re foamy. You can also use an electric mixer, beat for 2-3 minutes on high-speed.
Add your beaten eggs, yogurt,  jalapeno to  bowl with the dry ingredients. Mix all ingredients well with a whisk or an electric mixer.
Pour batter into an oiled 8×8” pan or an 8” skillet.
If you want to top the corn bread with a jalapeno garnish, simply slice another jalapeno in rounds, remove the seeds, place on the batter.
Bake or 20-25 minutes. Enjoy with a thin spread of butter.
NOTES:
To make the oat flour, simply blend rolled oats until a flour consistency has been reached.
