This Sirloin Steak Sandwich Is So Easy And Mouthwatering, It Makes A Wonderful Meal!

This recipe makes about enough for four sandwiches but if you want plenty more, you can always double the ingredients.  They take a few minutes to prepare and about ten to twelve minutes to broil the steak. You won't have wait long at all before digging right in!

Let's Get Started!

The Ingredients To Gather Are:

 pickled onions:
1 cup distilled white vinegar
1 cup water
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 medium red onion

 steak:
Cooking spray
1 pound sirloin steak
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon  ground black pepper

 sandwiches:
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup whole-grain Dijon mustard
1 1/2 cups arugula
4 onion rolls

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

Place  vinegar, water, sugar,  salt in saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to  boil, stirring occasionally to dissolve  sugar. Place  onion in a heatproof bowl, pour the pickling liquid over it; set aside while you cook  steak,  drain, discard  liquid.

Arrange  rack about 4 inches from  broiler, heat  broiler to high. Line  rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil. Coat  wire rack with cooking spray, fit over the baking sheet.

Pat steak dry with  paper towel. Season both sides with the salt, pepper, place on  wire rack. Broil  for 5 minutes. Flip  steaks, continue broiling until well-browned and charred at the edges, 4 – 5 minutes more for medium-rare, or 6 – 7 for medium.

Let  steak rest for 10 minutes on  rack.  Whisk mayonnaise, mustard together in  small bowl. Transfer  steak toa cutting board, thinly slice against the grain.

Spread  thick layer of Dijon mayonnaise on  cut sides of rolls. Divide  steak, arugula between rolls. Drain pickling liquid from  onions, add to  sandwiches. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Enjoy!
