Tips for Green Smoothies

Tips for Green Smoothies

  1. Tightly pack 2 cups of leafy greens in a measuring cup and then toss into blender.
  2. Add water and blend together until all leafy chunks are gone.
  3. Add mango, pineapple and bananas and blend again until smooth.
  4. Pour into a mason jar (or cute cup of your choice).
  5. Gulp or sip like a rawkstar!

I just love 100 Days of Real Food's word play on rawkstar, soon after drinking these green dreams, we all will be.

When branching out to make your own variations of these super healthy, green smoothies, just stick to the rules. These rules include blending your leafy greens and liquids first and then adding your fruits. Always make one of your fruits frozen instead of using ice. I prefer frozen broccoli or brussel sprouts, yes brussel sprouts, and you can't even taste them. Also, try using other healthier options besides water, like coconut water or even almond milk.

You will soon start to see how easy and beneficial it is to blend your own green smoothies at home or on the go.

I just love these 5 Tips to remember when blending up these Green Smoothie creations, also provided by 100 Days of Real Food, listed on the next page.
