This one of kind caramel sauce makes enough for four servings but if you want more, you can always double the ingredients. It takes about thirty minutes to prepare and another ten to twelve minutes to cook. You can enjoy this incredible caramel sauce on your favorite sweets in no time!

The Ingredients To Gather: 

  • 16 ounces watermelon juice
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • Optional – strain the small solids from the juice.

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring the juice to a steady boil and cook until it reduces to about 2/3 cup, about 30 minutes.
  2. As it cooks, the water and sugar from the melon will separate, and the liquid will eventually begin to thicken slightly.
  3. Add the sugar and stir until it's completely dissolved.
  4. Continue cooking the caramel for 10 to 12 minutes until thickened.
  5. Remove the pan from the heat and cool before using.
