Here's everything you need for these drool-worthy cookies. These bars are so hearty, we recommend digging in with a fork!
Let's Get Started…
Ingredients To Gather:
- 1 cup butter at room temperature
- 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions To Follow:
Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and then coating a 9×13-inch baking pan with baking spray, parchment, or butter and flour.
Next, use a mixer to beat the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar about 3 minutes, or until everything is thoroughly mixed.
Add the eggs one at a time, and mix between each.
Next, add the vanilla extract and mix in on low speed.
Then, add the salt, baking soda, baking powder, flour, rolled oats, plus semi-sweet chocolate chips and stir by hand.
Spread half of this mixture into the baking pan and pour the chocolate chips on top.
Take the rest of the cookie mixture and press it on top of the chocolate chips.
Bake between 24 and 30 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown.
Leave in the pan for about 5 minutes to cool, and then cut into bars.
Mmm…delicious! We have to warn you, though, that these cookie bars are so delectable it's impossible to have just one! In fact, you might want to stash a few for yourself before you serve them, because they're guaranteed to go fast and you don't want to miss out!
