We Took A Risk & Made This Beef Stew Way Different – We Couldn’t Be Happier How It Came Out!

The Meat Always Comes Out Super Tender Yet The Veggies Are Still Crisp…. The Sauce That You Pour On Top Is My Favorite Part!

Let's Get Started…

The Ingredients To Gather:

  • 2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped

  • beef broth
  • 3 potatoes, diced
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  2. Stir in the garlic, bay leaf, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, onion, beef broth, potatoes, carrots, and celery.
  3. Cover, and cook on Low setting for 10 to 12 hours, or on High setting for 4 to 6 hours.

This sounds good. But what is the secret ingredient or different way it’s prepared? Seems like the regular way most people do it, oven or crock pot. If you use the bay leaf, don’t forget to remove it before you serve – not edible. I like peas in mine – just a few. My husband likes corn. So I’ll make a little of both, on the side and then we can add what we like.
Also, try this sometime: skip carrots and celery. Do new potatoes, large chunks of onion (like quatered, then each quarter in half) and mushroom halves. Add about a 1/2 cup of a good dry wine (red or white, whatever you like to drink) and a few sprigs of thyme. Then finish in crock pot, as directed. A little change from regular stew.

    Uhhhhh so what’s so different?

I like using a red or dark beer instead of broth.
