We’re Sure You Have Had Brownies But Have You Had Them Made With This Ingredient Before?

Here's everything you need for these tantalizing brownies. If you want to save your leftovers, they keep up to 3 days in an airtight container. There is nothing better than a fresh brownie after a long day at work or just a bad week in general!

Ingredients To Gather:

  • 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate chips (about 1 cup) or coarsely chopped bittersweet chocolate
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter (1 stick), cut into 8 pieces
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Directions To Follow:

Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and placing a rack in the middle of the oven. For this recipe, you'll need an 8″ x 8″ metal baking pan. Line it with aluminum foil. Then:

  1. Combine the chocolate and butter in a medium saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until melted and smooth.
  2. Remove from the heat and let cool slightly, about 5 minutes.
  3. Combine the eggs, sugar, vanilla, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl and stir with a rubber spatula until just evenly incorporated.
  4. Add the chocolate mixture and stir until evenly combined.
  5. Add the flour.

Now, you'll pour the batter into the pan and push the batter toward the edges of the pan. Smooth out the top of the batter and make sure it's spread out evenly. Now, bake for about 25 minutes. You'll know the brownies are done when you insert a knife or skewer into them and it comes out clean.

Once the brownies are done, transfer them to a wire rack and allow them cool for at least 20 minutes before attempting to remove. One tip: To remove them from the pan easily, grip the excess foil and pull up. We recommend serving these scrumptious brownies with a tall glass of cold milk. Yum!
