Who Said BBQ Can’t Be Fancy? Check Out This 5-Star Flank Steak With A Balsamic Glaze & Orange Gremolata

Keep in mind to cook your steak in caution and focus on obtaining that fresh, zesty Italian flavor in the Orange Gremolata garnish! It is also recommended to have a side of starch, such as a mashed sweet potato. Check out how to create a magical romantic dinner!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb flank steak, trimmed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 medium-size red onion, cut into 8 wedges
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped shallots
  • Orange Gremolata

Preparation:

  1. Grill the seasoned steak with wedged red onions thoroughly for about 5 minutes.
  2. Let the cooked ingredients rest for another 5 minutes.
  3. Slice the steak very thinly in a slanted line (diagonally)
  4. To make the sauce, add the shallots and vinegar together and cook them until the water starts to bubble. Then turn off the fire and let the mixture rest in the heat for 7 minutes.

To plate the dish, simply pour a bit of the balsamic mixture over the juicy steak and lightly trickle a pinch of orange gremolata. If you don't have an orange gremolata lying around your kitchen, you can easily substitute it with a combination of lemon, garlic, and parsley.
