I assume at this time you're still pondering how can you prep such a delicious meal in 5 minutes. Though the cooking time may take a little longer than 5 minutes, it'll be worth it. Also, you can prep this meal, and let it cook while you unwind from a long day's work.
Ingredients To Gather
- 1 beef brisket (about 5 lbs.)
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp fresh ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp salt, or as needed
- 1 large onion, sliced
- Prepared barbecue sauce, as needed
Directions To Follow
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Season the beef brisket on both sides with the smoked paprika, pepper, and salt.
- Place the onions in a shallow roasting pan. Place the brisket on top of the onions, and roast uncovered for 1 hour. Remove the pan, and carefully wrap tightly with foil.
- Place in the oven, reduce the heat to 325 degrees F., and cook for 3 more hours.
- Brush with barbecue sauce for the last 5 minutes of cooking to get a nice glaze.
- Serve sliced thin, with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
Finished!
Now that you're done, get ready to enjoy. You could make a fresh salad aside your brisket, or some creamy mash potatoes. Feel free to add more seasoning if you like your brisket to be extra flavorful. Share your turnouts with us, we're eager to hear how it was.
Enjoy!
