Crock Pot Creation: This Delicious Boston Pulled Pork Recipe Will Have You Begging For Seconds

This Delicious Pork Roast Is Slow Cooked With Brown Sugar, Red Peppers, Garlic, Liquid Apple Smoke & Dry Mustard… It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This!

I love pulled pork, often referred to as carnitas. I love enjoying it as a sandwich, in enchiladas, tacos … pretty much any way you could enjoy this meat, I am game. I love how at the fat gets rendered during the slow cooking process and the meat literally just falls off of your fork. I especially love the dry rub seasoning that goes into this recipe. It's got a bit of a kick but it's not too overwhelming for those that are sensitive to heat. And, of course, if you're unsure about the rub you can always modify it to something you're more comfortable with. The brown sugar in the rub brings out a touch of sweetness to balance the heat, and makes me fall in love with carnitas all over again.

This particular pork recipe takes a little longer to cook, but I guarantee it is worth every minute that you have to wait to eat it. The pork will continue to cook in your crock pot anywhere from 8-12 hours, then you finish it off under the broiler to add complexity to its texture. By the time you're done, the pork will literally be falling apart just by looking at it, it's just that juicy and tender. You can serve on sandwiches, or, if you're anything like me, with a side of rice and beans with tortillas. Yum!
