Easiest Crock Pot Roast Recipe Ever

Easiest Crock Pot Roast Recipe Ever

This crock pot roast recipe is not only the easiest one you will find but it is also the most delicious one I have ever tasted. Plus I love how you can vary the dry packaged ingredients by trying Au Jus instead of brown gravy or even skip the Italian mix all together if you like things a little less spicy.

It's easy because all the seasoning you need can be bought in those simple dry packaged seasoning mixes.

This delicious roast takes probably 3 minutes of preparation – which I really like!

Anyway, on to the recipe…

That’s the only way I make pot roast. I flip a bowl upside down in the bottom of the crock pot to jack the roast out of the water. Much better that way.

The smell didn’t bother me but the ridiculous amount of salt sure did. No one could taste the actual meat used because of the amount of salt. Yuck.

If it is frozen, don’t thaw it out it won’t shrink as much. It cooks from the outside in so the frozen meat helps keep it’s shape and size. Learned it by mistake.

I made this roast and it was not best I ever made. It was very salty. Will never make it again. Would not use ranch in it at all.

I have made this before. Way too much salt, but really good if you just use half of each package rather than the full amount.

I wonder if that’s enough water? 1/2 cup is not much. My husband tries doing roast in crockpot and smothers them with beef or chicken broth to get enough liquids. Please let me know if that little water worked?

only one problem those dry mixes—brown gravy and salad dressing have too much sodium—are there any other options??

This sounds good but very bad if you are watching your sodium intake. These packaged dry mixes are loaded and when you them up, holy cow, sodium overload. Bad for blood pressure and your kidneys!

I always do also, even if I cook in the oven. The veggies get the flavor of the meat that way.
