Hard boiling eggs is tough. This method for steaming them makes them turn out so much better, you'll be amazed & want to try this method every single time.
Steaming Eggs Is Better Than Hard Boiling Them Because:
If you steam instead of boil your eggs, you’ll end up with a more tender egg because it’s been cooked more gently. The eggs are also less likely to crack during the cooking process because they haven’t been banged about in a pot of bubbling water. And, since the eggs are added to the pot when it’s already steaming ― with no risk of lowering the temperature, they can be easier to peel.
To steam eggs, just add about an inch of water to the bottom of a pot. Insert a steamer, cover pot, put it on heat. Add eggs using tongs, recover. Cook for about six minutes for soft eggs and 11-12 minutes for hard eggs. Plunge them in cold water to stop them from cooking further.
Finished!
Steaming your eggs works so much better than boiling that it may be your new favorite way to make them. Have you tried steaming your eggs before?

“Centers the yolk,” I like that. Thanks. I use jumbo eggs whenever I can get them, and they very often have double yolks. (y)
I steam my eggs – have a steamer that I bought from QVC, but it only does 6 eggs at a time. Of course, after I bought one, they came out with a bigger one that does hold 12 eggs….
Put your cooked egg in a glass and shake a few times. Shell peels right off.
All these ideas are great. Thanks so much!
Thanks!
I’ve never steamed them but don’t bother trying the baking method (in cupcake pans) that is going around…..each one had a brown spot from the pan and looked nasty for deviled eggs! I’ll stick with the old fashioned pot of water.
Muffin pan, bake at 325, 30-35 depending on oven.

I think baking eggs with dry heat would make for one dry leather egg white. . yuck and leaves a brown spot on the egg where its baked thru in one hot spot. How ‘appealing ‘ is that . haha peel . appeal. Haha. Pun intended. I crack myself up. Haha. I have a dozen of em. ! Hahq
I like to scramble eggs in the microwave…they are awesome. It’s funny though. I LOVE mexican food. Most people don’t cuz it’s too spicy. *sigh* you simply eliminate the “heat”….but I guess a lot of fear about altering recipes. Meh! I do it all the time.
I think scrambled eggs in microwave are great. . fluff up nice and no burning! Changing recipes is what cooking is all about . cook what you like your taste etc. I change recipes all the time too. I add alot of vinegar or the pickling liquid from banana peppers to food. Acid added to any dish really adds a good balance. I rvrn make eggs with a splash of banana pepper liquid .
That sounds yummy!
You can also put them in a muffin tin and bake them
