We all know that Hard Boiled Eggs is a staple diet for most people. Heck, it is my diet till pay day most of the time.

However, I always seem to mess up how long to keep them in the water. Usually, I will keep them in for about twenty minutes to ensure that they are cooked but then they come out dry and the yolk is like powder. Soooo I do that for half the time and then they're runny.

So How Long Do I Keep My Hard Boiled Eggs In The Water For & What Is The Correct Timing?

Well, after much trial and error, we did our own research and found out the perfect method which is actually really shocking. We've been messing this simple recipe up for years and totally feel like idiots.

The next time you make Hard Boiled Eggs stop guessing how long they should be cooked for and always follow this rule of thumb; it's easy to remember and you'll actually have something you enjoy eating.

    The perfect hard boiled egg. Bring them up to a boil…turn the heat off…put a l8d on them…let them set for 10 minutes. Perfect.

    I did the oven baked eggs, works awesome, never had one where the shell was hard to remove. I’ll try the rice cooker next time. TY

    17 minutes?? i bring mine to a boil, cover, remove from heat for 10 minutes. 17 seems like an awfully long time

    I have been doing this method for years!!
    My mother taught me this method and she is now 85 and I’m 58.
    This method is nothing new to me!!

    Or just do the 555 method in an instant pot with a dash of baking soda. Perfect and peels so easy every time!
