I honestly cannot tell you how many times I have made dinner, needed sour cream and then found out that I didn't have any.
As it turns out whip cream is NOT the same thing and I would NOT recommend using it as a substitution for sour cream!
So after the billionth time getting fed up that I was once again out of this ingredient I finally broke down and did some research as to what I could do to help substitute it. I know it seems logical that one would look up alternative ingredients however I am slightly ashamed to admit how long it took me to realize that.
Moving on
I have compiled for you on the next page a list of things that are in fact a better substitute for sour cream…fiy: whip cream is NOT one of them.
