Tips for Green Smoothies

As the days fly by do you ever feel like you are finding even less time for yourself and your everyday needs? Maybe you just don't have the time to take the proper care of yourself because you are caring for others while maintaining a career. Some days I can't even find the time to take a lunch, let alone actually eat anything.

That's what green smoothies are for. If you are too busy to take a lunch or on the go most of the time, you can easily incorporate this into your daily routine. As long as you make sure to make then in advance and bring them with you, you can drink it down while doing just about anything else.

Green smoothies also incorporate healthy doses of the daily recommended intake of fruits, fiber and vegetables. What I love is that you can add just about anything as long as you follow a few simple rules. But first here's your grocery list for a super simple, green smoothie beginner recipe:

  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup mango
  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 2 bananasUse at least one frozen fruit to chill your smoothie. We often use frozen mangos and bananas in our green smoothies.

On the next page you can see the step by step directions on making these green smoothies…
