It cooked rather unevenly! I’m surprised! And it messed up my oven glass pretty bad. I have some old microwave trays that have a place for grease to drain. I put one sheet of paper towel under the bacon and one over and microwave about a minute a slice. I may try baking some again soon as my oven already needs to be cleaned.
I like the microwave method better.. you put a bowl on a plate and arrange the bacon over the bowl… then wrap the whole thing with 2 layers of paper towels.. 1 minute per piece of bacon.. absorbs most of the oil and you can drain the plate of any excess…
I hate the house smelling after cooking bacon.
oven…is how we do it
I’ve baked my bacon in the oven for a number of years and never been disappointed in the consistently crispy slices .I put mine on parchment on the bakingsheet to keep from sticking. And the grease is light golden brown with no burnt taste ..just perfect for seasoning veggies or frying up some eggs and potatoes. Yum.
I just stand a bit of a ways from the hot skillet

I hadn’t thought of parchment paper. Going to try that next time. I always cook my bacon in the oven.
I hope it works as well for you also.I learned a lot working in food service. I love to cook and hate wasting food by mishandling it.
Line a broiler pan with foil bake at 3 75 keeps the grease away from the bacon dump grease out if you do a second pan I Like to cook up three or four packages and freeze it for a salad or BLTs
I’ve cooked my bacon on the oven for years. 375 on a baking sheet with a cooling rack so the grease doesn’t puddle around the bacon. 20 or so minutes and you’ve got crispt, golden brown bacon.
