
This is a basic recipe for Butter Cream so if you want to add a little extract into the mix, may it be orange, hazelnut or chocolate, then that is up to you.

Let's Get Started Mixing These Ingredients Together…
Here Is How You Mix Everything Together:
- Whip that butter, with a paddle beater
- Add in the icing sugar
- Add in the cream
- Add in the vanilla
If you want a thicker, stiffer icing then we suggest that you use less cream. If you want something more whipped then use more cream.
If you want a colored frosting, just add a few dabs of food coloring and you have your colored frosting. The possibilities are endless with this recipe.
You can adjust what you need to make it perfect for you. Want a little more vanilla flavor, add another teaspoon. You can make this however you would like and you can't go wrong!

I use evaporated milk…and add coco if I want choc buttercream. Learned this as a child…it is so much better than can icing which is too sweet.

This wouldnt make a nice white icing, which you need for wedding cakes, as a retired professional decorator, I used nothing but shortening, needed a pure white ‘icing

I wonder if if I used French Vanilla coffee creamer instead of plain creamer and left out the vanilla (a taste test would determine if vanilla needed to be added) if it would be as delicious… may be worth a try!

I think it does. I use 2 butter-flavor Crisco sticks and 2 sticks of real butter. Too much shortening makes it taste greasy.
