Need that perfect icing for your cake or do you just love the taste of sweet buttercream? Nothing is better than that sweet, creamy perfection on the cake of your choice.

This Recipe Will Have You Whipping Up Fresh Buttercream In Just A Few Simple Steps!

No matter what kind of cake, whether it be a classic white, lemon, vanilla or chocolate this icing will go with whatever you decide to use. It goes great with marbled cakes as well.

Why Go With The Stuff In The Can When You Can Whip Up A Fresh Batch Of Frosting?

~ You'll Never Run Out Of It Again ~

One of the things that I like about this recipe is that when you layer, pipe or even frost a cake with this particular Butter Cream recipe it will not melt or smear when you first put it on.

This Butter Cream Frosting recipe is thicker than normal but there are options where you can make it a little thinner and even creamier.

My basic buttercream comes from Wilton site. I play with it though (add cocoa and instant espresso for mocha buttervream) and almost always double the recipe to ensure plenty.

If you use the 2# bags you do not have to sift for a smooth icing.

She put a tablespoon of orange juice in the cake batter which was home made. She bought a fresh coconut & grated it. She put a tablespoon of orange juice in the batter. She made 7 minute frosting & put a tablespoon of orange juice in that. I really dont have her recipe. How did you get to Maryland from NOLA? Cindy Hyde is a member of my church & I asked her about you a year ago & she said that she had lost touch with you. She is head of the personnel committee at the church where I’ve worked for 26 years. Go to Summer’s Journey on Facebook. That is one of my granddaughters. She is 5 & was born with cerebral palsy. I have a 3 yr old granddaughter named Charley who never meets a stranger. I’m so glad I found you on Facebook! We are all so scattered now. Miss those family birthdays in March!
