Simmer out for a second, add cream or stock and Parmesan
When sauce starts to thicken toss pasta into sauce in saucepan.

Quartered tomatoes with sliced onions and basil. Smaller helping of pasta not runny and the bread on the side in a dish. It would balance the color, and presention in my opinion.
