This Traditional Sauce Recipe Brings The Soul Of Italy Right Into Your Kitchen

Who Knew You Could Make Gourmet Food With A Crock Pot?

Nothing hits the spot quite like a hearty helping of rich, saucy, savory spaghetti. One bite of tender pasta and zesty sauce and you won't know what hit you. Yum!

Among spaghetti dishes, Spaghetti Bolognese might just be one of the most satisfying, thanks to its generous servings of vegetables, its ample spices and enough meat to stick to your ribs. However, this enticing dish also has a reputation as one of the more complicated and time-consuming recipes of Italian cuisine.

Enter this crock pot version, which is so easy to make you might just make it once a week!

Since when do any Italians add celery and carrots to their sauce? I would make this recipe without those two ingredients.

Every Italian makes their own special sauce, there is no “one recipe” they all add they’re own special touch or secret ingriedent, but what makes it most unique, is the special Love that each one puts in. If you’re Italian, you know this, If you are not Italian, give it your best shot or go buy a jar of Prego.

Whoever came up with this recipe for sauce isn’t Italian. You can get this recipe in some of those crappy jars of sauce. Plus my mother, and her mother never heard about a crock pot for sauce. I’ll make my sauce the old fashion way. What a bunch of pigeons thinking this is the real deal.

I like this recipe. I am Italian and this is not how I make my gravy (as we call it – NOT sauce). Many variations depending on South or North. Good one though. Tastes better the next day after it set and was allowed to flavor.

Yes you are correct. My Grandpa and my friends Mama showed us the right way to make sauce or gravy, and it was not in a crockpot and it did not have milk in it. If you want to make a gravy that is blushed, you put cream in it at the last minute.

What way do you make yours Lou? Would love to know your recipe! If you can share it without your family then having to kill you! 😉 I’ve made my own for years. Usually on the stove, but have used a crockpot a few times. Really cooks the sauce pretty good. A lot like cooking it on the stove in my sauce pot.
